GALAXIS provided an intelligent logistics solution for Aokang’s footwear distribution center, introducing four-way tote MSR robots to achieve the world’s largest-scale application of this technology. The project integrates intelligent storage, replenishment, picking, sorting, automated packaging, and outbound processes to build a fully automated logistics operation.
The intelligent operation center covers 11,000㎡ with a 27-level storage structure and 130,000 tote locations. Through the integration of four-way shuttle systems, automated packing systems, AGVs, robotic equipment, and intelligent logistics technologies, the solution supports more than 50,000 daily e-commerce orders and a maximum daily outbound capacity of over 300,000 pairs of shoes.
In the Apparel industry, enterprises face challenges from large-scale SKU management, seasonal sales fluctuations, and increasingly demanding e-commerce fulfillment requirements. Traditional warehouse operations often struggle to achieve fast response, high accuracy, and efficient handling during major sales peaks.
For footwear enterprises with both online and offline distribution channels, a flexible and intelligent logistics system is required to support high-volume order processing, rapid inventory turnover, and seamless coordination between storage, picking, packaging, and outbound operations.
GALAXIS deployed a high-density intelligent storage solution based on four-way tote MSR robots, combined with high-speed transportation and automated packaging systems to enable full-process automation from inbound storage, replenishment, picking, sorting, to outbound delivery.
The solution adopts a multi-layer shuttle storage system with 26 intelligent FLASH shuttle robots, supporting high-density storage and rapid retrieval operations. Together with automated packing systems and intelligent handling equipment, the warehouse achieves efficient order fulfillment and significantly improves logistics responsiveness.
After implementation, the intelligent logistics system achieved end-to-end automation across the entire fulfillment process, supporting 5,000 carton shipping tasks and more than 50,000 e-commerce orders per day. The system reduced order processing time from order generation to outbound shipment to as fast as 30 minutes.
During major sales events such as Double 11, the solution achieved a record outbound performance of more than 6,000 orders per hour, demonstrating strong peak-handling capability. By leveraging high-density storage and intelligent automation, the project significantly improved operational efficiency and established a benchmark for smart logistics in the footwear industry.
