Project Overview

GALAXIS provided an intelligent logistics solution for Suzhou Library’s smart library, integrating stacker crane systems, MSR shuttle systems, high-speed carrying lifts, automated conveying equipment, and intelligent software systems.

 

The smart library consists of four storage areas, including box stacker crane storage, shuttle storage, and forklift storage areas. Covering approximately 6,500㎡, the system supports a storage capacity of 7 million books and achieves automated book storage, retrieval, sorting, packaging, and distribution, enabling a more efficient and digitalized library service model.

GALAXIS implemented a comprehensive smart library logistics solution integrating imported shuttle systems, miniload stacker crane systems, high-speed carrying lifts, automated conveying systems, and intelligent control platforms.

 

Through the coordination of MSR shuttle systems, WCS software, and automated handling equipment, the solution enables automated book storage and retrieval processes. When readers request books through intelligent borrowing terminals, the system automatically completes retrieval, sorting, labeling, and delivery operations, significantly improving service efficiency.

 

 

Impact

After implementation, the intelligent library system achieved large-scale automated book management, supporting a storage capacity of 7 million books with daily inbound and outbound capability of 20,000 books. The solution improved space utilization by 40% while significantly enhancing book circulation efficiency.
