A leading Japanese e-commerce service provider based in Chiba-ken, Tokyo operates large-scale e-commerce support services and omnichannel solutions for more than 350 fashion brands. To support its growing global e-commerce operations, the company upgraded its traditional warehouse into a high-density intelligent logistics center.
GALAXIS delivered a fully integrated smart four-way shuttle box-type AS/RS solution, including automated storage systems, high-speed lifts, goods-to-person workstations, and WMS/WCS software systems, enabling a highly efficient and stable e-commerce fulfillment operation.

In the e-commerce logistics sector, rapid order growth, high SKU complexity, and seasonal demand fluctuations place significant pressure on warehouse operations.
Traditional manual picking and flat storage models result in low efficiency, high error rates, and increasing labor costs. In addition, labor shortages and rising logistics costs further limit scalability. For cross-border e-commerce operations, the system must also ensure high throughput stability to support multiple brand platforms simultaneously.
GALAXIS implemented a high-density automated warehouse solution based on a four-way shuttle system combined with goods-to-person picking technology.
The system integrates shuttle-based dense storage, high-speed lifts, and intelligent conveying systems to enable seamless material flow between storage and picking zones. A WMS and WCS system is deployed to coordinate warehouse operations, balance throughput, and optimize fulfillment efficiency.
Through the integration of shuttle storage and goods-to-person workstations, the system eliminates manual picking processes and supports efficient handling of high-SKU, high-volume e-commerce orders.

After implementation, the system significantly improves warehouse operational efficiency and storage utilization.
The dense storage design supports 10,000 box-type storage locations and enables efficient management of up to 100,000 SKUs. The system achieves 960 double cycles per hour for inbound and outbound operations, while the main conveyor system reaches 1,200 boxes per hour.
The goods-to-person picking system improves picking efficiency by 50%, reduces manual workload, and enables faster order fulfillment, with strong capability to handle seasonal peak fluctuations and multi-brand platform operations.
